This transkit allows the transformation of the original kit proposed by Mark Hesketh Models and includes the following super details and modifications:
- A Faulhaber 1512 motor gearhead, with 112:1 reduction, for speed to scale (To be ordered separately, not included in the transkit base package)
- An orthogonal 1:1 ratio transmission by helical gears
- A thinner round belt (1mm dia) for more flexibility (3-point suspension)
- New thinner pulleys
- 3-point suspension
- New photoetched electrical pick-ups made of cupro-beryllium (an excellent electrically conductive and highly wear-resistant material) fixed by insulating screws (fiberglass-reinforced polyamide), to improve the flexibility of the electrical pick-ups
- A stand for the installation of a wired DCC sound decoder
- A loudspeaker holder that fits behind the grille inside the hood
- The addition of fixings for the engine hood and cab backrest to make them removable by screwing, thus facilitating painting and access to the decoder, loudspeaker and maintenance.
- A new deck to receive the new mechanism and make the hood and cab backrest removable
- Dummy bolts on the deck, hood, and angle
- A new tractor seat in nickel silver lost wax casting
This transkit is designed for assembly by soldering and a minimum of soldering skills is required.
Please note that this transkit is only suitable for models that are still in kit form and unassembled, as it includes a new deck that accommodates the new mechanism and replaces the original one.
The Faulhaber motor gearhead must be purchased separately.
